When we posted Alistair for adoption we did so thinking that it was going to take quite a while to find this special dog his perfect fit. Alistair had suffered great emotional trauma having been in a puppy mill and needed a very specific home with people experienced in these severe neglect cases. We never expected to find his ideal fit within a short time of his adoption posting but boy did he ever get lucky! Alistair has found his most ideal family. They have a mature and confident dog to be a role model for him and have the experience with a previous dog who was terribly traumatized by puppy mill life as well. So they knew exactly what works for these dogs and what to expect. We are so proud to say that Alistair is settling in to his new family and home much better than anybody expected. He has a way to go but we know that he’s in fantastic hands and that we couldn’t have found a better family for him. He is greatly loved and he’s going to be living his very best life with this family.

We are thrilled to announce that Berkley found his forever home right where he was, with his foster family!!! We couldnt understand why no one was applying for this great dog, but it appears that the universe had a bigger plan for him and he was meant to be right where he was.  His family adores him and the only hold back was that they wanted to keep on fostering..we knew he liked other dogs but needed to know how he would be with another dog living in his home. So we had them foster another dog and Berkley was a star! He is an excellent big brother to his foster dog sister and passed his test with flying colours.  So Berkley is home to stay!!! Peppermint Patty was our bold, confident leader of the pack puppy so when we had a family apply for the pups and found out they were wanting the dominant female pup we knew that this was Patty’s family!  They had a male dog at home who is a sensitive soul and gained all of his confidence and security from his sister.  When she passed away his confidence shrank and he wasn’t as happy a dog anymore.   His family knew that he needed a sister again who would be his role model for confidence.  Although just a puppy, Patty is definitely taking on that role.  She adores her brother and he has taken to her right away, always wanting to be near her and lying by her crate when she is having her quiet time.  Patty has been named Athena now which is a very suiting name for this pup! Her family adores her and she is settling in great!
Schroeder was the perfect fit for a couple from Kitchener who were looking for their 1st dog together.  As the middle of the pack, friendly and confident pup, he was a great choice for this family and he was their pick as well.  They have renamed him Freud which is a great name for this pup.  He is doing well in his new home although put his new family through the wringer the 1st few days with crate training!!! They were warned but, wow, what a set of lungs on this pup!!  He is doing much better now that he is settling in and he is learning a lot.   We love this quote from his new mom… All in all, the best thing Paras and I have ever done was adopt Freud !

We had a lovely woman apply for the pups, looking for a female of the litter.  She had been wanting a dog for such a long time but long work hours did not allow for it.   A life long dog lover, she was super excited to have her own dog now that she was in a place in her life where sharing her home with a dog was feasible.  She wanted a puppy as she had the time to devote to the training and socialization and wanted to the experience of puppy raising.  We knew that Marcie, one of the smaller pups, had the perfect temperament and personality for a 1st time puppy raiser.  Marcie is doing great in her new home and is adored by her mom.  Her name is Sadie now.
ReRun was our independent, “too smart for his own good”, puppy!  He was the pup who learned to climb the ex pen fence to plot his escape at 6 weeks of age!! Although his unique colouring caught everyone’s eye, we knew that this boy needed a special home with an experienced family who would keep him busy and engaged.  He was the last pup to find his forever home but we found him the perfect fit!  ReRun now lives with a family with teens and another dog of the same mix- exactly what we were looking for!!  This family fell for ReRun immediately and even though he was the last puppy available, he would have been their 1st pick regardless!! We couldn’t get over how engaged he was with this family; normally ReRun was the independent pup off on his own but with this family he was super connected and was giving tons of kisses and cuddles.  He is named Fergus now and is doing great in his new home and his family adores him!!

Charlie Brown was the perfect pick for a couple looking for their first puppy together.  After getting to know them we determined that a male pup was the best fit and as 1st time puppy parents, a middle of the pack natured pup would be best.  Charlie brown was their favourite and we knew he would be a great match for them.  He is settling in great in his forever home and is learning all kinds of new tricks and skills.  You can follow him as he grows and learns new things on his Instagram page https://www.instagram.com/charliethepeanutdog/
