Kate is an adorable Corgi/German Shepherd puppy who came to us from Manitoba for a better chance at a loving forever home. In the meantime we had a previous adoptive family who contacted us looking for a buddy for their Dachshund X, Wally. Little Christina was quite the project for us. She came to us with a damaged eye and wonky back leg. We set about fixing all her problems, her fosters showed her what love and care looked like and helped her on her way to a happy and pain free life. She lost an eye and had to have specialist surgery on her knee but it was all worth it and she proved to us how much stamina and spunk she packed into her little body. Christina found her forever home with a couple in Waterloo who fell in love with this little character of a dog, and they renamed her Athena...goddess of wisdom and strength. Quite fitting!

We couldn′t understand why our sweet Queenie was being overlooked; all of her siblings were being adopted and she still remained...but fate is a funny thing and we know it played a huge role in her eventual adoption. One of our amazing veterinary team members, and prior adopter of Maverick, kept commenting to us how much she really liked Queenie. Then Queenie had to spend a day in clinic and worked her magic. A strong bond was formed. We are talking, the YOU ARE MY PERSON bond! Queenie is a friendly pup, somewhat shy initially with most people, but whenever she would see Sarah, she would strain to get to her and leap into her arms. We all stood by and watched in amazement. Her foster mom commented that she isn′t that excited to see them even!! We all knew, hands down, that Queenie had picked her mom, and Sarah was more than happy to welcome her home. Queenie has loving parents, canine siblings who she adores and likes to cuddle with, and she has brought the pup out in Maverick, enticing him into great bouts of play. Queenie is happy, quite loved, and most importantly, HOME.
