Happy Tails of PDR Alumni 2026

Barger is very happy to report that he is nicely settled into his forever home and he is doing great!  His new family adores him and are so happy with him. Hes doing great in puppy classes and is making his family proud
Phillip is a sweet Corgi pup who found his forever home before being officially posted.  We had posted his brother Gibbs and received multiple great applicants and knew that the one family would be a great fit for Phillip.  We sent them his bio and cute pics and they were very interested!  Meeting him sealed the deal and all involved knew that this was meant to be Phillip’s family.  He is settling in really well and is very loved. He is named Finnigan now
Cardi is a sweet year old Corgi who came into our care from a commercial breeding operation as an unwanted dog. We had posted another Corgi and gotten many great applications for him and knew that one of these applicant families would be a great fit for this lovely little dog. We showed them her adorable pics and her bio and they were very interested. They met Cardi and all knew that this was a happy tail in the making!
Springer found his forever home with a family who were looking to add a second dog to the home.  They live in a rural area with many acres to explore and were wanting an active and outdoorsy type.  Springer is exactly that and his temperament matched their current dog the best so he was the pick!   He is doing great and loving his life with his forever family
Ohri found a great family to love her and care for her.  They knew that they could offer her the quiet and calm home she needs and all the love she deserves
Ruthie found her happily ever after with a Cocker Spaniel loving couple who were looking to love a dog again after the passing of a beloved dog.  Ruthie captured their hearts and we all knew that this couple was the best fit for her.  She is very happily settled and living her best life
Bichette is very happily adopted to a wonderful couple who were looking for an active Retriever type pup to love.  They met Bichette and knew that this was the pup for them!  She has settled in really well and her family adores her. She is named Daisy now
Selene is very happy to be spending the holidays with her forever family!! She was happily adopted and is settling in well in her new home.  Her family loves her and she will be very spoiled!
Maeby found her new home with a couple who were looking for a nice Cocker Spaniel to love.  They love the breed and were searching specifically for a female Cocker that would be a good fit for their home and family.  Maeby was the one!  She is named Emmie now and is settling in well
Marge is very happy to announce that she has  been adopted by a woman with a dog that could be Marge’s brother from another mother! The 2 dogs get along really well and Marge has settled in like she has been there all along. She is named Maggie now 
Nimona found a Boston Terrier loving couple who were looking for the fun and excitement that comes with owning a Boston! They met her and it was a live match.  She has been named Winnie now and is settling in well!
Jackpot joined a family of ShihTzu lovers who knew that they could offer him a loving home, where he would join his ShihTzu siblings and be doted on and adored.  His new family had no issues with managing his heart condition.  He is settling in so well its like he has been a part of the family all along!  His name has been shortened to Jack.  
Marble is very happy to announce that she has found a wonderful forever family!  She has a fun little brother to play ball with who she really enjoys, but mostly she is loving cuddles on the couch with her family.  She is named Yuki now and is settling in great!
Edamame got a forever home for the holidays!  He has a loving family and a doggie sibling and he is doing well. He is called Eddie now 
Nila is happy to announce that she got to spend the holidays in a forever home!  Nila is happily settled in with a wonderful family and is very loved
Maisha is happy to announce that she has a forever family!! She found her perfect quiet home with a family who knew that she needed a gentle and slow introduction to her new home and neighbourhood. This shy girl has fit right in and is flourishing in her new home.  They are thrilled to have her
Isaac found his most perfect forever family!   Our sweet puppy with the serious heart condition found himself a home with a veterinarian who happens to work at a clinic that has cardiac specialists!! We have used this specialty clinic many times and know that he will be in great hands.   His family adores him and tell us how well he has settled in and how much he is loved.  
A much anticipated update that we are happy to share is that Avro has found his forever people!!   He was happily adopted and went on to his new home without looking back.   We are very happy to report that Avro is settling in really well, he is happy, greatly loved, and is being very well cared for.  He is being a really good boy and he is being so impressive with his ability to learn new things, and adapt to a new home so well
Mavis happily joined the home of a couple who were looking for a calm and mature dog to love and boy did they find a gem in Mavis!!  She has settled in well and brought a lot of joy and love to her new family.  They adore her and are so happy with her!
Asha is a sweet and shy little Corgi who came to us from a commercial breeding operation as an unwanted dog.   While we had her in care we had a family in mind for her that had adopted a male Corgi from us a year ago and were looking for a female Corgi to add to their family.   We knew that they would be a great family for Asha and when she was ready we set up a meeting.  The dogs got along well and we all agreed that this would be a great fit for Asha.  She is settling in well and loves her walks and playing in the snow!
Jolly found her forever home with a woman who was looking for a second little dog to love.  She wanted a dog of similar size and low shedding as her current dog and Jolly would be just that.   The dogs got along well and we are happy to say that Jolly, now Abby, is very happy in her new home!
Tinsel is happy to announce that she has a family who loves her!  She was the perfect fit for a couple who were looking to add a little ShihTzu to the family.  She is named Phoebe now and is a pro level cuddler who is bringing a lot of fun and happiness to her family
Bernice wants all to know that she has a family who loves her!!! This lucky girl found her best fit with a family with children who love the BMD breed and were looking for a mature Berner to join their family.   Bernice settled in beautifully after only a few days and is now quite comfortable and happy.  Her family is very happy with her
Cohen is happily adopted and doing great with his new family.   He has a big Lab sibling who he adores and he has brought a lot of love and fun and happiness to his new family…along with a puppies pre dawn rise and shine, lets get on with this day, attitude!! He is greatly loved and very happy.  He is called Max now.
Buns got his happily ever after!   He was adopted to an active couple who were looking for an athletic, fun pup to join their family.  They met Buns and knew that this was the pup for them!   He is called Otis now and is very well settled in and loving his new home and family
Barker wants everyone to know that he has a great family and he is really happy!! He is called Lupin now and has settled in really well.  He loves his family and they love him in return!!  He was a great fit for them
Larkin has been happily adopted to a couple who absolutely adore Dachshunds and his new mom has always had the breed in her life.  They are very well versed in all the needs of the breed and were specifically looking to add a cream Dachsie to their family, never dreaming that they would find a cream puppy in rescue.  They applied immediately when they saw Larkin posted and we knew that this was the perfect family for him.  Larkin is named Winston now, affectionately called Winnie, and he is settling in really well.  He loves his doggie sibling and is learning a lot from her
Merry found her perfect fit with a couple who were looking for a sweet little ShihTzu to love.   They met Merry and knew she was the dog for them.   They can provide her the quiet and loving home she needs so it was a great match!
Shailey found a great home with a family who were looking for a nice dog to be their first family dog.   Shailey fit the bill and suited all that they were looking for.  She is settling in great and is very loved
Cas is a lucky dog to now have a forever family to love her!  She was the right fit for a couple looking for a Golden Retriever to join their family.  They met Cas and we all knew that this was her right fit.   Cas is fitting in well and is enjoying her walks in her new neighborhood.  
Zila found her home with a couple who love Cocker Spaniels and were excited to adopt one now that they lived in a home where having a dog was feasible.  They saw Zila posted and were quick to apply.   They could offer Zila the home that we were looking for for her and we all knew that this was a great match for her.  Zila is named Max (Maxie) now and is greatly loved
Henley found a fun home with an alum family who have PDR Lenny the doodle.   The couple were looking for a friend for Lenny after the passing of their senior dog.  They knew that a young and playful dog would be best and Henley was what they were looking for.  They also have the experience and patience to work with a timid dog so they were a great fit for her.  Henley is doing well, she loves her brother and they play all the time, outside and inside!  
Kibble joined the home of a couple who were looking for a small, low shedding dog to love.   They read about Kibble and knew he would be the one for them.  Kibble really enjoyed meeting them and was so happy when they wanted to adopt him.  He is settling in really well and is very loved.  
Deacon has found his perfect family.  He is settling in really well in his new home and absolutely loves his new parents and his brother who is a Frenchie/Eng Bulldog mix named Reese.  Deacon is named Rolo now.  Reese is showing Rolo all the neat stuff to do in the house and where the best toys are found. Rolo is charming all the instructors in his training classes and gives kisses to everyone.  He is living his very best life. 
Thumbelina found her best match ever with a woman who has a small Poodle and was looking for a second dog to love.  She has the experience we were looking for to care for extra small, fragile dogs like Thumbelina and we knew that she would do everything to keep this teeny dog safe and give her the very best life.   Lina is named Lucy now and she is doing so well in her forever home.  Her mom says she makes her laugh daily with her antics and her personality is really starting to shine
Cupcake is an adorable little ShihTzu who came into our care from a puppy mill.   She arrived in her foster home nervous and scared but soon realized that she was safe, life as a house dog was great, and her personality really started to shine.   Her foster family had been looking to add a smaller dog to the family and the longer they had Cupcake the more apparent it became that she was the perfect dog for them!  She fit right in and was besties with their Bernadoodle (PDR alum Shamus) and will be a wonderful role model to future foster dogs, so it was decided that she was there to stay!  We celebrate this “foster fail” with her family and know that she has found an amazing forever home!
Teeling found his happily ever after with a family who were looking for a puppy who would be a great dog for a family with kids.  Teeling was the right size, breed mix and temperament and we all knew that this would be a great family for him.   Teeling is named Lucky now…and he certainly is a lucky pup!
Mugsy found herself a loving forever home with a PDR family who have a ShihTzu and were looking to add another to their family.   They met Mugsy and the dogs got along well and we all knew that this would be a great fit.  Mugsy is called Lily now.  She is settling in well and adores her canine sibling! 
Frederick (left in photo) found his forever family with an alum family who had adopted a Bichon, Jolene, years ago and were looking for a second dog for the family after the passing of Jolene’s senior sibling.  They came to a public meet and greet and met Frederick and were hoping he could be the dog for them.  A formal meet only strengthened this decision and we all knew that this was the dog for them all!  Frederick is settling in really well.  He loves Jolene and all of the family and is a very happy boy. 
We are happy to advise that Keaton has found a loving forever home!  He is a very cherished boy who is settling in well and doing great at dog school.  He is impressing his family with his learning skills and making them laugh with his funny antics. We are so happy for Keaton!
Natalie found a great home with a woman who was looking for a dog to love.  She came to meet Natalie at multiple public meet and greets and knew that this was the pup for her.  A formal meet solidified that feeling and we knew that Natalie would have a great home with her.   Natalie is called Stevie now

Knox found his forever home with a man who was looking for his first dog of his own.  He and his family saw Knox’s posting and knew right away that this was the dog for him.  Knox agreed and he went off to be a great pup and dad team.  Knox settled in very well and is loving life with his dad

Cinderella found a wonderful forever home to call her very own. She is greatly loved and settling in well. She is called Bella now.
Marge is very happy to announce that she has been adopted by a woman with a dog that could be Marge’s brother from another mother! The 2 dogs get along really well and Marge has settled in like she has been there all along. She is named Maggie now.
Nell is now an adored dog to a couple who were looking for a Cocker as a companion to their dog.  Nell caught their attention and when they met her we all knew that this was a love match.. Nell is doing very well and has a wonderful life ahead of her!!
Katie is happy to announce that she has a wonderful forever home!  Katie was adopted by a Bulldog lover who was looking for a dog to love again after the passing of a prior dog.   Katie was the perfect fit and took right to her new dad.  She is settling in great and is a very happy dog
Dumpling the Frenchie found her happily ever after with a family who adore the breed and were looking for a dog of their own to love.  Dumpling was just what they were looking for and they were so happy with her when they met her.   Dumpling is settling in great.  She is called Lilo now and is enjoying her new home and family life 
Latte found his best fit for a forever family with a couple in Toronto who were looking for an extra small dog to cherish and give a loving home to.   Latte was the perfect fit for them. He is a dog who would take well to urban living and we knew he would have a wonderful life with this couple.  Latte is called Whiskey now and he is very loved
Clarice (left in photo) caught the eye of a family who were looking for a second dog to love.  They knew a ShihTzu would be a good fit for what they were looking for and the fact that Clarice was good with other dog and would enjoy a dog sibling was a match as well.  When they all met Clarice it was apparent that this was the perfect home for her and the dogs were a great match.  Clarice is very happily settled in and very loved
Marv found a great family to call his very own!   His family was missing having a dog in the home after the passing of a beloved dog.  They set out to find a new dog to love and came upon Marv’s posting.  He ticked the boxes of what they were wanting in a dog and what suited their family best.  When they met him we all knew that this was Marv’s family.  He is doing great and settling in well and he is really loved!
James is a very lucky dog to have found a loving family to call his very own.   We had a PDR alum family reach out about James as they were ready to love a dog again after the passing of their previous PDR dog.  We knew the amazing home that this family would offer a dog so it was an easy APPROVED when they met James and he took to all of them.   James is living his best life now and will have the security of a wonderful home and family forever!
Jenna has found her forever home with a woman and her family who love Bulldogs and were looking for a Frenchie to love after the passing of a prior dog.   They met Jenna and knew that they could offer her a wonderful home and easy life to make up for the rough time she had in a puppy mill.  Jenna would never have to be scared or worry about being attacked by dogs ever again.  Jenna is living her best life with her new family and is adored
Tino found his new mom at a meet and greet event! She came to meet the dogs and was drawn to Tino and his sweet nature and applied for him!  A future official meet solidified her feeling that this was the dog for her and we agreed.  Tino is settling in nicely to his new home and his mom says that Tino is the cuddliest dog she has ever met!  
Wiggum is one lucky pup! He caught the eye of a PDR alum family who were looking for a 2nd Pug to be a companion to alum Figgy after the passing of their elderly dog.  They came to a public event and met Wiggum and fell in love. An official meet later only solidified what we all knew, that this was Wiggum’s family.  He is settling in well and the dogs are bonding nicely and Wiggum has certainly found his happily ever after
