Happy Tails of PDR Alumni 2026

Barger is very happy to report that he is nicely settled into his forever home and he is doing great!  His new family adores him and are so happy with him. Hes doing great in puppy classes and is making his family proud
Phillip is a sweet Corgi pup who found his forever home before being officially posted.  We had posted his brother Gibbs and received multiple great applicants and knew that the one family would be a great fit for Phillip.  We sent them his bio and cute pics and they were very interested!  Meeting him sealed the deal and all involved knew that this was meant to be Phillip’s family.  He is settling in really well and is very loved. He is named Finnigan now
Cardi is a sweet year old Corgi who came into our care from a commercial breeding operation as an unwanted dog. We had posted another Corgi and gotten many great applications for him and knew that one of these applicant families would be a great fit for this lovely little dog. We showed them her adorable pics and her bio and they were very interested. They met Cardi and all knew that this was a happy tail in the making!
Springer found his forever home with a family who were looking to add a second dog to the home.  They live in a rural area with many acres to explore and were wanting an active and outdoorsy type.  Springer is exactly that and his temperament matched their current dog the best so he was the pick!   He is doing great and loving his life with his forever family
Ohri found a great family to love her and care for her.  They knew that they could offer her the quiet and calm home she needs and all the love she deserves
Ruthie found her happily ever after with a Cocker Spaniel loving couple who were looking to love a dog again after the passing of a beloved dog.  Ruthie captured their hearts and we all knew that this couple was the best fit for her.  She is very happily settled and living her best life
Bichette is very happily adopted to a wonderful couple who were looking for an active Retriever type pup to love.  They met Bichette and knew that this was the pup for them!  She has settled in really well and her family adores her. She is named Daisy now
Selene is very happy to be spending the holidays with her forever family!! She was happily adopted and is settling in well in her new home. Her family loves her and she will be very spoiled!
Maeby found her new home with a couple who were looking for a nice Cocker Spaniel to love.  They love the breed and were searching specifically for a female Cocker that would be a good fit for their home and family.  Maeby was the one!  She is named Emmie now and is settling in well
Marge is very happy to announce that she has  been adopted by a woman with a dog that could be Marge’s brother from another mother! The 2 dogs get along really well and Marge has settled in like she has been there all along. She is named Maggie now 
Nimona found a Boston Terrier loving couple who were looking for the fun and excitement that comes with owning a Boston! They met her and it was a live match.  She has been named Winnie now and is settling in well!
Jackpot joined a family of ShihTzu lovers who knew that they could offer him a loving home, where he would join his ShihTzu siblings and be doted on and adored. His new family had no issues with managing his heart condition. He is settling in so well its like he has been a part of the family all along! His name has been shortened to Jack.
Marble is very happy to announce that she has found a wonderful forever family!  She has a fun little brother to play ball with who she really enjoys, but mostly she is loving cuddles on the couch with her family.  She is named Yuki now and is settling in great!
Edamame got a forever home for the holidays!  He has a loving family and a doggie sibling and he is doing well. He is called Eddie now 
Nila is happy to announce that she got to spend the holidays in a forever home!  Nila is happily settled in with a wonderful family and is very loved
Maisha is happy to announce that she has a forever family!! She found her perfect quiet home with a family who knew that she needed a gentle and slow introduction to her new home and neighbourhood. This shy girl has fit right in and is flourishing in her new home.  They are thrilled to have her
Isaac found his most perfect forever family!   Our sweet puppy with the serious heart condition found himself a home with a veterinarian who happens to work at a clinic that has cardiac specialists!! We have used this specialty clinic many times and know that he will be in great hands.   His family adores him and tell us how well he has settled in and how much he is loved.  
A much anticipated update that we are happy to share is that Avro has found his forever people!!   He was happily adopted and went on to his new home without looking back.   We are very happy to report that Avro is settling in really well, he is happy, greatly loved, and is being very well cared for.  He is being a really good boy and he is being so impressive with his ability to learn new things, and adapt to a new home so well
Mavis happily joined the home of a couple who were looking for a calm and mature dog to love and boy did they find a gem in Mavis!!  She has settled in well and brought a lot of joy and love to her new family.  They adore her and are so happy with her!
Asha is a sweet and shy little Corgi who came to us from a commercial breeding operation as an unwanted dog.   While we had her in care we had a family in mind for her that had adopted a male Corgi from us a year ago and were looking for a female Corgi to add to their family.   We knew that they would be a great family for Asha and when she was ready we set up a meeting.  The dogs got along well and we all agreed that this would be a great fit for Asha.  She is settling in well and loves her walks and playing in the snow!
Jolly found her forever home with a woman who was looking for a second little dog to love.  She wanted a dog of similar size and low shedding as her current dog and Jolly would be just that.   The dogs got along well and we are happy to say that Jolly, now Abby, is very happy in her new home!
Tinsel is happy to announce that she has a family who loves her!  She was the perfect fit for a couple who were looking to add a little ShihTzu to the family.  She is named Phoebe now and is a pro level cuddler who is bringing a lot of fun and happiness to her family
Bernice wants all to know that she has a family who loves her!!! This lucky girl found her best fit with a family with children who love the BMD breed and were looking for a mature Berner to join their family.   Bernice settled in beautifully after only a few days and is now quite comfortable and happy.  Her family is very happy with her
Cohen is happily adopted and doing great with his new family.   He has a big Lab sibling who he adores and he has brought a lot of love and fun and happiness to his new family…along with a puppies pre dawn rise and shine, lets get on with this day, attitude!! He is greatly loved and very happy.  He is called Max now.
Buns got his happily ever after!   He was adopted to an active couple who were looking for an athletic, fun pup to join their family.  They met Buns and knew that this was the pup for them!   He is called Otis now and is very well settled in and loving his new home and family
Barker wants everyone to know that he has a great family and he is really happy!! He is called Lupin now and has settled in really well.  He loves his family and they love him in return!!  He was a great fit for them
Larkin has been happily adopted to a couple who absolutely adore Dachshunds and his new mom has always had the breed in her life.  They are very well versed in all the needs of the breed and were specifically looking to add a cream Dachsie to their family, never dreaming that they would find a cream puppy in rescue.  They applied immediately when they saw Larkin posted and we knew that this was the perfect family for him.  Larkin is named Winston now, affectionately called Winnie, and he is settling in really well.  He loves his doggie sibling and is learning a lot from her
Merry found her perfect fit with a couple who were looking for a sweet little ShihTzu to love.   They met Merry and knew she was the dog for them.   They can provide her the quiet and loving home she needs so it was a great match!
Shailey found a great home with a family who were looking for a nice dog to be their first family dog.   Shailey fit the bill and suited all that they were looking for.  She is settling in great and is very loved
Cas is a lucky dog to now have a forever family to love her!  She was the right fit for a couple looking for a Golden Retriever to join their family.  They met Cas and we all knew that this was her right fit.   Cas is fitting in well and is enjoying her walks in her new neighborhood.  
Zila found her home with a couple who love Cocker Spaniels and were excited to adopt one now that they lived in a home where having a dog was feasible.  They saw Zila posted and were quick to apply.   They could offer Zila the home that we were looking for for her and we all knew that this was a great match for her.  Zila is named Max (Maxie) now and is greatly loved
Henley found a fun home with an alum family who have PDR Lenny the doodle.   The couple were looking for a friend for Lenny after the passing of their senior dog.  They knew that a young and playful dog would be best and Henley was what they were looking for.  They also have the experience and patience to work with a timid dog so they were a great fit for her.  Henley is doing well, she loves her brother and they play all the time, outside and inside!  
Kibble joined the home of a couple who were looking for a small, low shedding dog to love.   They read about Kibble and knew he would be the one for them.  Kibble really enjoyed meeting them and was so happy when they wanted to adopt him.  He is settling in really well and is very loved.  
Deacon has found his perfect family.  He is settling in really well in his new home and absolutely loves his new parents and his brother who is a Frenchie/Eng Bulldog mix named Reese.  Deacon is named Rolo now.  Reese is showing Rolo all the neat stuff to do in the house and where the best toys are found. Rolo is charming all the instructors in his training classes and gives kisses to everyone.  He is living his very best life. 
Thumbelina found her best match ever with a woman who has a small Poodle and was looking for a second dog to love.  She has the experience we were looking for to care for extra small, fragile dogs like Thumbelina and we knew that she would do everything to keep this teeny dog safe and give her the very best life.   Lina is named Lucy now and she is doing so well in her forever home.  Her mom says she makes her laugh daily with her antics and her personality is really starting to shine
Cupcake is an adorable little ShihTzu who came into our care from a puppy mill.   She arrived in her foster home nervous and scared but soon realized that she was safe, life as a house dog was great, and her personality really started to shine.   Her foster family had been looking to add a smaller dog to the family and the longer they had Cupcake the more apparent it became that she was the perfect dog for them!  She fit right in and was besties with their Bernadoodle (PDR alum Shamus) and will be a wonderful role model to future foster dogs, so it was decided that she was there to stay!  We celebrate this “foster fail” with her family and know that she has found an amazing forever home!
Teeling found his happily ever after with a family who were looking for a puppy who would be a great dog for a family with kids.  Teeling was the right size, breed mix and temperament and we all knew that this would be a great family for him.   Teeling is named Lucky now…and he certainly is a lucky pup!
Mugsy found herself a loving forever home with a PDR family who have a ShihTzu and were looking to add another to their family.   They met Mugsy and the dogs got along well and we all knew that this would be a great fit.  Mugsy is called Lily now.  She is settling in well and adores her canine sibling! 
Frederick (left in photo) found his forever family with an alum family who had adopted a Bichon, Jolene, years ago and were looking for a second dog for the family after the passing of Jolene’s senior sibling.  They came to a public meet and greet and met Frederick and were hoping he could be the dog for them.  A formal meet only strengthened this decision and we all knew that this was the dog for them all!  Frederick is settling in really well.  He loves Jolene and all of the family and is a very happy boy. 
We are happy to advise that Keaton has found a loving forever home!  He is a very cherished boy who is settling in well and doing great at dog school.  He is impressing his family with his learning skills and making them laugh with his funny antics. We are so happy for Keaton!
Natalie found a great home with a woman who was looking for a dog to love.  She came to meet Natalie at multiple public meet and greets and knew that this was the pup for her.  A formal meet solidified that feeling and we knew that Natalie would have a great home with her.   Natalie is called Stevie now
Knox found his forever home with a man who was looking for his first dog of his own. He and his family saw Knox’s posting and knew right away that this was the dog for him. Knox agreed and he went off to be a great pup and dad team. Knox settled in very well and is loving life with his dad.
Cinderella found a wonderful forever home to call her very own. She is greatly loved and settling in well. She is called Bella now.

Katie is happy to announce that she has a wonderful forever home!  Katie was adopted by a Bulldog lover who was looking for a dog to love again after the passing of a prior dog.   Katie was the perfect fit and took right to her new dad.  She is settling in great and is a very happy dog
Dumpling the Frenchie found her happily ever after with a family who adore the breed and were looking for a dog of their own to love.  Dumpling was just what they were looking for and they were so happy with her when they met her.   Dumpling is settling in great.  She is called Lilo now and is enjoying her new home and family life 
Latte found his best fit for a forever family with a couple in Toronto who were looking for an extra small dog to cherish and give a loving home to.   Latte was the perfect fit for them. He is a dog who would take well to urban living and we knew he would have a wonderful life with this couple.  Latte is called Whiskey now and he is very loved
Clarice (left in photo) caught the eye of a family who were looking for a second dog to love.  They knew a ShihTzu would be a good fit for what they were looking for and the fact that Clarice was good with other dog and would enjoy a dog sibling was a match as well.  When they all met Clarice it was apparent that this was the perfect home for her and the dogs were a great match.  Clarice is very happily settled in and very loved
Marv found a great family to call his very own!   His family was missing having a dog in the home after the passing of a beloved dog.  They set out to find a new dog to love and came upon Marv’s posting.  He ticked the boxes of what they were wanting in a dog and what suited their family best.  When they met him we all knew that this was Marv’s family.  He is doing great and settling in well and he is really loved!
James is a very lucky dog to have found a loving family to call his very own.   We had a PDR alum family reach out about James as they were ready to love a dog again after the passing of their previous PDR dog.  We knew the amazing home that this family would offer a dog so it was an easy APPROVED when they met James and he took to all of them.   James is living his best life now and will have the security of a wonderful home and family forever!
Jenna has found her forever home with a woman and her family who love Bulldogs and were looking for a Frenchie to love after the passing of a prior dog.   They met Jenna and knew that they could offer her a wonderful home and easy life to make up for the rough time she had in a puppy mill.  Jenna would never have to be scared or worry about being attacked by dogs ever again.  Jenna is living her best life with her new family and is adored
Tino found his new mom at a meet and greet event! She came to meet the dogs and was drawn to Tino and his sweet nature and applied for him!  A future official meet solidified her feeling that this was the dog for her and we agreed.  Tino is settling in nicely to his new home and his mom says that Tino is the cuddliest dog she has ever met!  
Wiggum is one lucky pup! He caught the eye of a PDR alum family who were looking for a 2nd Pug to be a companion to alum Figgy after the passing of their elderly dog.  They came to a public event and met Wiggum and fell in love. An official meet later only solidified what we all knew, that this was Wiggum’s family.  He is settling in well and the dogs are bonding nicely and Wiggum has certainly found his happily ever after
Ezra found herself a very loving forever home with a woman who was seeking the companionship of a dog again. She had come to multiple of our meet and greets and submitted an application and we got to know her a bit and what type of dog would best suit her.  When Ezra came available for adoption we all knew that this was the perfect dog for her. When she met Ezra at her foster home we were all sure that this was a great match.  Ezra is now happily home and settling in well. Her name is Tinsley now and she is adored!
Mariah found a great mom and daughter duo to call her family.   They were looking for a good family dog and loved the mix of breeds Mariah was and of course how pretty she is.  Mariah is settling in well, has started obedience classes and is proving to be a very smart girl.
We had a great , Cocker Spaniel loving, PDR alum family looking for another Cocker to love after the sad passing of PDR Trudy.  We knew the care and devotion this family gives to their dogs so when we had Liberty the Cocker coming up to be ready for adoption we let them know about her.  It was a love match and she got along with their other family dog nicely as well.  Liberty is called Libby now. She is settling in well and very loved and happy
Pipsqueak, our super sweet blind and deaf Yorkie found his best forever family!   His family was used to living with a senior dog with special needs so they were not put off at all with Pipsqueaks extra care.  This family dotes on him and he has the best life.  He is discovering the joys of sunning himself in their yard now that the nicer weather is upon us.   He is settling in well and he is very loved

Mozart hit the jackpot with his adoption.   This lucky dog gets to live a rural life now, going for walks in the countryside, visiting horses, and all the amazing smells that come with that life.  He is loving his new family and home and is a very happy boy.  Mozart is very loved by his family and they are so happy to have him
Tate was lovingly adopted by a great couple who were looking for a smart and active dog to suit their outdoorsy lifestyle and dedication to training.   Tate was the perfect match and ticked all the boxes of what they were looking for.  Tate is called Max now. He is settling in really well!
Alani is a very lucky dog to have found a wonderful forever home.  Her family was looking for a sweet natured mid sized dog that would be good with their cat and Alani was everything they were looking for and more.  Alani is settling in really well and she and the cat are good friends.  She is called Lily Rose now and is a happy dog
Pugsley found a great place to call his forever home with a woman who was looking for a good companion for her dog and absolutely loves Pugs.  Pugsley absolutely loves other dogs so it was a great match.  Pugsley and his sister are getting along fabulously and love to chase each other and play.   He is settling in well and is very loved
Muki is happily adopted!! She went to the home of a couple who were looking for a second dog to love.  Muki was the size and breed mix of what they were looking for and she and their dog got along well.  It is nice for Muki to have a big brother to show her the ropes in her new home and around the neighborhood!  Muki is called Bailey now. She is doing really well!
Evangeline found a fantastic forever home with a family who are very experienced with the Cavalier breed and were looking to add another beloved Cavie to the family.   The dogs got along well and Evnageline was just what they were looking for.  She is named Emma now and is settling in well to her new home and family.  Emma is a very happy little dog
Midge is very happy to announce that she found her perfect fit and happily ever after! She was adopted to a Pug loving couple who were looking for a second dog.  Midge needs daily eye meds for a dry eye condition and this wasnt an issue at all as her new mom is a veterinarian so she is in great hands.  Midge has settled in nicely and is making her family laugh with her silly antics and happy ways.
Pippi Longstocking wants to let everyone know that she found a wonderful home with a couple who were wanting a small, cuddly dog to join their family.  Pippi was a great choice as she loves cuddles, and she was the perfect size for them.   Pippi is settling in well and the photos we have been sent of her all show her lounging in so many comfortable and cozy spots, totally loving her new home!
Wim our blind Bichonpoo puppy found his forever family with a pair of sisters who were looking for a second small dog to love.  Having had raised a blind dog from puppyhood before they were not put off by Wim’s blindness and knew exactly how capable blind dogs are.  Wim is proving that and more! He has settled in so well, causing havoc and craziness just like any new puppy should!  His name is Captain Figgy now and he is keeping his family very busy
Little found her happily ever after with a couple who were looking for a small puppy to love.  They came across Little’s posting and knew that this was the pup for them.  When they met this little whirlwind they fell totally in love with her, which is hard not to do!!  Little is named Li-Leigh now and is settling right in at her new home.  She is keeping her family very busy!!!
Uba found a great couple to adopt her and give her a loving forever home.   She is now called Lainey and is doing well with her new family. They are taking great care of her and tell us that she is settling nicely, eating, drinking, no accidents in the house, playing with toys and being silly!  That’s a great start!   Happy life Lainey!
Mickey is a darling Shepherd mix puppy who came into our care with his sister after they were found abandoned in a park and very sick.  Mickey was fostered by a Shepherd loving family who happened to be looking for a second dog to love, but their current dog needed to approve.  Other foster pups had come and gone off to be adopted, not being the right forever choice..but then Mickey came along.   He fit right in and more importantly, he was the only foster pup that the resident dog showed interest in and even played with!  We all knew that this was the one!! We celebrate this “foster fail” with his family and are so happy for Mickey that he has such a wonderful forever home!
Abigail is a very lucky dog to have found a wonderful couple to adopt her and give her a great life!  They offer her the calm and caring home that this sweet dog needs, and she is really settling in nicely.   She is bonding with her family, even giving them little nose boops when she feels they should be petting her more!  Her family adores her and she is off to her happily ever after!
Zuko has found his most perfect forever home!!! This sweet boy is now living a rural life with a couple who love their hounds and were missing having a dog after the passing of a beloved prior hound mix.   They were part of the cani cross running group that Zuko’s fosters participated in with him and over the weeks they came to get to know Zuko and realize that he was perfect for them.  A formal meeting only secured this feeling and we all knew that this was Zuko’s family.  We are happy to say that he is fitting in great!  He is running with his mom and still participates in cani cross which he LOVES!!

Silver found her forever home with people who love large dogs and were on the look out for a big dog who is affectionate and loyal and will enjoy active times as well as cuddling.  Silver was the perfect fit!  She is settling in well and starting to show her fun personality!!
Tobin found his perfect fit with an active retiree who was looking for a smaller, active dog who would enjoy long walks, hikes and training and Tobin was the dog for that!  She was excited for all the adventures she would have with this busy little dog.  True to her word, she and Tobin are out exploring the trails and nature around them and having a blast!  Tobin is very happy and his mom adores him
Rebel would like to announce that she has a forever family! Rebel was adopted by a couple who were looking for a dog to love. They had experience with dogs that needed time to settle in and knew that they could give Rebel the time, patience and calm that this timid dog needed to feel at home.   Rebel is doing well in her new home and is starting to show off her fun personality!  She is very loved by her family!
Vera has been happily adopted by a family who were looking for a second Pug to love.  They had the perfect home for shy Vera and were sure that their calm, quiet family structure would be the right fit for Vera. Vera is settling in really well!  With her Pug sibling guiding the way she has discovered a new love of the beach and all the sights and smells that go along with that! 
Pascalie was adopted by a couple looking for a sister for their male dog.  They were wanting a Shepherd mix and became very interested in her after seeing a video we posted of this fun, friendly pup. We all knew that this was a great fit for this pup, and she would love having a big brother!!  Pascalie is called Banshee now. She is settling in great, has lost a baby tooth, and is being kept busy with a lot of chew toys and frozen carrots to get her through teething time!
Persephone is very happy to announce that she has a wonderful forever family!!! She is doing so well and is very loved.  Her family affectionately called her Sephy and she is settling in nicely
Budsy is one happy dog!! He was adopted by a PDR alum family and is now sharing his home with his sister, Willow who was adopted a year ago.  He is called Oakley now and his family has told us that it feels like he has been there forever, he settled in so well.  His family got him a short summer cut and he looks all dapper now 
The Legend has found his people!   Little Legend is very happy to tell you all that he has a loving forever family!  This little sweetie has settled in beautifully with a couple who were looking for a small second dog to love and needed to find one that would be good with their Golden retriever.   Since Legend thinks he’s a Golden Retriever it was the perfect fit!  Best news too, the Legend has kept his name!! So he will be a legend in his own mind forever!
Bennett found his very best fit with a PDR alum family who adopted Beans and were looking for another dog to complete their family. Bennett’s gentle nature and all around good temperament meant he was a perfect fit for Beans, the little Chihuahua in the home, and all the members of this large family. Bennett has a lot of people to love him and he is very pleased about that.  Bennett is settling in well and discovering all the fun things he gets to do with his new family.
Itsy has joined the family of a wonderful woman looking for a small dog to love.  She has the quiet home and patient manner for a timid dog like Itsy and will work hard to continue our path of teaching Itsy confidence.  Itsy is in great hands!!
Viva the Bichon is happy to announce that she has a loving forever family and a canine sibling to show her all the cool smells in the neighborhood and where the snacks are kept.  Viva has settled in so well that her family says it feels like she has been there for much longer than she has.  We love hearing that!! 
We are very happy to announce that Kieran the Frenchie has found his perfect forever home!! We were thrilled when an alum family applied for Kieran, hoping that he would be a good fit with their Pugs, one of which is PDR alum, Una.  The dogs all got along wonderfully and we all knew that Kieran had found his happily ever after.  He is called Reggie now and is living his best life
Nikita happily joined a couple who were looking to add a dog to their family that could be a gentle companion to their sweet, older dog. They love dogs with some Husky in them and Nikita being a Husky/Pom mix, she was the perfect size for what they were looking for.  The meet went great and it was apparent that Kita had picked them as her family.  She is settling in really well and is very happy in her new home
Queen B, our adorable little Cavalier found her perfect fit!  She is now happily part of a little pack of dogs who are absolutely beloved by their people.  They love the Cavi breed and are experienced with this breed and were fully prepared to take on a high medical needs breed.  Thankfully Queen B, now Jyni, is a healthy dog, but we needed her adopters to be prepared and they are!  Jyni is very loved, she adores her doggie siblings and things couldnt be going better for her
Nancy is a very lucky dog and found herself a loving mom to be her forever person.  Nancy was just the dog her mom was looking for and she could offer Nancy the calm and quiet home this sweet mill dog needed.  It was love at first meet and we all knew that this was a great match.  Fancy Nancy is making herself right at home and is very loved!
Theo is very happy to say that he has a wonderful forever home and family. Theo is called Arlo now and he is settling in really well. He has a Belgian Shepherd sister who he adores and who is showing him the ropes in his new home.
Perla was adopted to a lovely couple who were looking for a sweet dog to love.  A Cocker was of great interest to them and when they saw Perla posted they felt she would be a great fit for them.  Perla agreed at the meet and we all knew that this was a fantastic match. Perla is called Pearl now.  She is very loved
Dachi found his happily ever after with a couple who were looking for a calm, mature dog to love.  They saw Dachi posted for adoption and felt that he was what they were looking for, and in meeting him, this feeling was confirmed!  Dachi is  called Dax now. He’s settling in well.
Toothless is a very happy dog!  He has a family to call his very own!   Toothless is called Winston now and he has settled in so well to his new home and family life.  He loves playing ball with his girls and cuddling with all of the family.  His new family adores him and are so happy to have a sweet Frenchie in their lives
Charm found her happily ever after with a couple of Beagle lovers who were missing having a hound in their lives and were looking to add another loveable, floppy eared dog to their family.   They met Charm and it was clear that this was the dog for them.  Charm has fit right in and is making herself right at home.  She is called Holly now
Eadie is a very lucky puppy and found her home quickly with a PDR alum family who were looking for another sweet little dog after the passing of their PDR dog.  They were watching our postings closely and were the first to apply for Eadie when she became available.  We knew that this family would offer her the best life!  Eadie is called Billie now and is doing great!
Link is a super unique ShibaInu/Pomeranian who found a wonderful couple to adopt him and give him a happy life.   Link came a long way in foster care and when he met this couple we knew that he had picked them as his own!  He is normally shy with newcomers but he took to them right away and looked for them when they left.   Link is settling in nicely in his new home and is very loved
Twilight found her happily ever after with a couple and their adult sons who were looking for a family dog after the passing of a prior beloved dog.   Twilight was the breed mix they were looking for and they loved her personality and unique colouring.   She is called Willow now and is doing very well
Pandora is very happy to tell everyone that she has a wonderful forever home!  She is the treasured pet of a woman and her parents who were looking for the love of a dog again.   Pandora is called Kaia now and is doing great!
Tanner was happily adopted by a woman who was looking for a little dog to love. He is settling in well and bringing a lot of fun to his new home
Apricot is officially the furthest adoption we have done in our rescue…Thunder Bay!  We dont normally adopt more than 2hrs away as we have a detailed adoption process that requires adopters to be close to our location.  BUT….when you get a super application for a dog that matches her needs perfectly and the adopter has the experience with the breed and temperament of the dog, AND they let you know that they are actually in our area for a few weeks to allow for an appropriate adoption process, well then, we take another look!  This couple was the absolute perfect fit for Apricot and as a great traveller we knew that she would do very well driving back home with them.  Apricot’s adoption was a great success. She is called Annie now and is loving her new home and family.  Sometimes rules need to be broken and we are happy that in this case things aligned beautifully to find this dog her perfect fit
Snow White has been safely delivered to her new home. Here are a couple of pictures. She will have a wonderful life with Judi and Mike and her new sister sibling, Molly. They are calling her Maggie now. The crate was set up and ready for her, the new martingale collar and other tag collar are on her along with a leash, paperwork is completed and in my possession. Just let me know when I can drop it off. I’m going to miss her, she really was a little sweetheart and has come a long way in the last two months.
Jarvis has found his happily ever after with a couple who were looking for a companion for their Poodle and were looking for another mid sized Poodle.  They saw Jarvis posted for adoption and he was just what they were looking for.  Jarvis put on the charm at the meet and we all knew that he would be very happy joining this family.  Jarvis is called Harry now and he is very loved
Magoo found his happily ever after with a family who were looking to add a second dog to the home and wanted a small dog that was good with larger dogs and would be a nice companion to their child as well.  Magoo ticked off all the boxes and was a great match for their family.  He is called Cooper now and is settling in so well!! He has a great family and home and he is a very happy little Maltese!!! 
Tiffany is one lucky puppy!! She was adopted by a member of our vet team!!! They were actively looking for a pup and were being very patient, waiting for the perfect fit, knowing that a PDR pup would come along that ticked off all the boxes. Tiffany was in for a procedure and there was a love match! She was the one! We are very happy to say that Tiffany is happily adopted, and doing great! She is called Juniper now and is very loved by her family
Here at PDR we are adamant that the tiny dogs need just as much training, exercise and socialization as the big dogs need so that they can be well rounded, well mannered dogs that can go anywhere with their people.  So we were thrilled when a dog trainer applied for Poco who completely agreed with this and was committed to training and socializing Poco well so he could live his best tiny dog life.   Poco is doing great!  He is in classes, participating in group walks and is going everywhere with his forever person, and his confidence is growing  
Sweet Freckles has found her happily ever after with a PDR alum family! They were looking for a mid sized female dog to be a good companion for their PDR dog Toby and when they saw Freckles posted they knew she could be the one! Freckles and Toby did well together at the meet and the family loved Freckles and her happy nature. We are pleased to say that she is settling in well and loving her new life and family. She is called Callie now
Inga found her forever family with a couple who love BMD and were looking for a Berner to love again. They offered the quiet and calm home that we were looking for for Inga and we knew she would flourish there., We are happy to say that Inga is doing really well. She is named Lily now. Her family adores her and she is keeping them entertained with her silly nature
Mango would like to announce that she has a forever family! She was adopted by a couple who were looking to love a dog again and knew that they could offer Mango a great home and family. Mango absolutely loved them and in particular her new dad so we all knew she was going to be a daddy’s girl!! Mango is called Tilley now and she is doing great!
Belky is a lucky girl; she has a forever home! This sweet, shy Corgi was the perfect fit for a woman who was looking for a dog of her own. Belky ticked all the boxes of what she was looking for and she knew after meeting her that this dog was a great match for her. Belky is settling in well in her new home and is very loved. We are so happy for her!
Rosey Posey has found her forever home! She has a new mom and a lovely little canine sibling and she couldnt be happier. Rosey is settling in well and her mom says her little tail wags more and more every day!! She loves Rosey very much and is so happy with how well she is doing
Bono left the litter of boy bands to form a duo with a couple who have a female Cockapoo and were looking to add another sweet Cocker mix dog to their family. As their current dog is more passive they needed one of the more laid back pups who wouldn’t be too overwhelming for their dog and Bono was the perfect fit. He has been renamed Wilson and is settling in nicely!
Usher has moved on from the boy band to a solo career with his new family! He is a very beloved puppy and is having a great time in his new home. He is named Enzo now
Snoop Dogg has left the boy band litter and is branching out to a solo career with his new family! He is called Montego now, affectionately called Monte, and he is doing really well. His family adores him!
Garth has left the boy band, leaving behind his “friends in low places” and has moved on to be a beloved family member to a couple who were looking for the active, outgoing, busy pup. Anyone who spent time with the litter knew that his was Garth!! He is called Fozzie Bear now, affectionately called Fozzie, and he is doing great.
Elvis has left the building!!!   Elvis has moved on to become the beloved pup of a family with a young boy.   We chose Elvis for them as he was a milder pup and a stockier build, a great fit to be the beloved companion of a boy.  Elvis is named Cody now and his family loves him!
Pharrell has decided a solo career is a better fit for him so he has left the boy band litter to make it on his own with a loving family. He is the beloved new puppy of a couple who were looking for a Cocker type dog and were thrilled to have found this litter up for adoption. Pharrell is called Oilver now. He is settling in nicely and his family loves him!
The Biebs has gone on to a solo career with a great family who were thrilled to bring little Bieber home! They all fell in love with this fun little dude and we knew that they were a great fit for him. They all lived with him a few days, many names were debated, but he is, and will always be Bieber!! Bieber is very happy to let everyone know that he is very happy in his new home and his family adores him!
Chiffon found herself a very loving home and family. She is being doted on and is having a great life. Shes a very happy dog
Vienna is living her best BorderCollie/Lab life with her new family on a farm!! She has all kinds of space to run and play and has chickens to keep her entertained. She is very loved and happy
Tasha found a wonderful home with a family who were looking for a little dog to love. They met Tasha and knew that this was meant to be their dog. She is called Maizie now and is doing great!
Sadly Hunk was returned to us a few months after adoption. It just wasnt the perfect fit that we thought it would be and that’s ok..it happens sometimes. But in this case, it was truly for the best as Hunk’s fosters never stopped thinking and talking about him, he had such a big impact on their lives! He was their “one that got away”/ So they were thrilled to have him back…and this time made it a permanent stay!! Hunk is back where he belongs and he is thrilled. A fantastic ending to Hunk’s rescue story.We celebrate this “foster fail ” and know that Hunk has the best home and family!!
Mallory found herself the absolute best fit for a forever home and family. She is now living in a very quiet, rural home with acres of securely fenced in areas for her to explore. Her family is a lovely couple who have adopted many PDR dogs over the years. They like the senior and special needs dogs and give them an amazing, loving home. They currently have PDR alum, Malcolm, who is a blind golden retriever and are well experienced with vision impaired dogs. And they have PDR alum Lenny, a sweet senior Pug  x. Both boys eagerly welcomed their new sister and Mallory took to them both very well. Mallory settled in right away and it’s like she’s been there forever. She has claimed a dog bed and has gone through the entire toy box multiple times! 

We could not have found Mallory a better home, and we are thrilled that she has such a great life ahead of her.
Magpie found a perfect home to be her forever home. She is now a beloved dog of a great couple who were looking for ShihTzu to love, having had this breed in the past and loving everything about them. Magpie was just the right fit for them and she is settling in well
Bria found her perfect match with a lovely man who was looking for a mature dog to love. He attended many of our meet and greets looking for a potential perfect fit but when he met Bria we all knew that this was his dog. Bria and her dad are the best of friends and great companions for each other
Rocky the fawn Pug got adopted by an alum family who had PDR Midge the black Pug! He is a great fit to this family and a wonderful playmate to Midge…which makes the resident senior Greyhound very happy as keeping up with her was tiring! Rocky is named Archie now and he is having a blast living his best Pug life
Vivi found her happily ever after with a couple who fell in love with this spunky little dog at first meet. They knew that Vivi was meant to be their dog!! Vivi settled in beautifully and is greatly loved!
